An Evening with Art Historian Natanya Blanck
September 22, 7pm – 9pm
She said she only painted herself because it was what she knew best. He considered art a means to move the masses. She had a single solo exhibit in her native Mexico, less than a year before dying. He is considered one of the most influential artists of the Twentieth century. She was a feminist hero, described as ‘a ribbon around a bomb.’ He was a larger than life political figure who exerted influence on his country’s government. Join Natanya Blanck, Associate Professor of Art History at MIAD, to hear how – together- they made one of the most intriguing couples in the history of art. (Walkers Point Center for the Arts, Limit 50, Fee: $50 per person)
