Giving Tuesday 2015

3 Reasons to Give

This holiday season, please show your support for Walker’s Point Center for the Arts and our mission by giving us a year-end contribution of $25, $50, $150, $500, or $5 a month. If you need some convincing, below are 3 reasons (out of dozens!) why WPCA matters.

Reason 1: Because youth arts education matters.
We see growth in the students who’ve attended our arts education programs for many years. They show progress in their artwork but also improvements in confidence, problem solving and in their academic studies. Come meet some of our students, see their artwork and watch them dance at our youth arts showcase “Growing in the Arts” on Friday, December 11, 5–7 pm.

Reason 2: Because art strengthens community.
A strong local arts community means a better quality of life and innovation for everyone. Art helps us examine our emotions and provoke creativity. Whether it’s our annual Día de los Muertos Exhibition or the upcoming CoPA Juried Photography Exhibition, people come together to celebrate their love of art and exchange ideas that promote growth and improves the arts community as a whole.

Reason 3: Because Walker’s Point matters.
Closing in on our 29th year as an organization and community member in the most dynamic and culturally vibrant neighborhood in Milwaukee, we reflect daily on what this community has given us. We are honored to give to the community our commitment of free arts education for kids and advocate better civil services for ALL! Please help us support our community.
