In the Theater: SandMark Productions presents ‘A Disappearing’

SandMark Productions is proud to present, “A Disappearing” opening on May 6 at 7:30 PM and running May 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 at the Walker’s Point Center for the Arts.

”A Disappearing” was written by award-winning local playwright Mark Wyss. The play won the Audience Favorite Award at the 2014 play festival “The Seven” held annually at Fusion Theatre in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The story centers around a birthday party for 9-year-old Billy, whose parents have employed a craigslist magician, named the “Great Marvin” to entertain during the festivities.

The Great Marvin, inadvertently disappears one of the party guests and has no idea how he did it or where the boy has been disappeared to. Needless to say, madness (and laughter) ensues during this magical comedy.
