About the Annual Members Show

Each year, we dedicate a non-juried group exhibition to showcasing the artwork of our talented members. Over 200 pieces in a wide range of media are presented salon-style throughout our gallery, creating an exuberant display of color, texture, form and flow. The style of the artwork varies as much as the medium.

The opening reception in itself is a creative salon. Art lovers and exhibiting artists, budding and esteemed, gather to converse, connect and share creative ideas and techniques. For many, WPCA’s Annual Members Show has become a tradition and among their favorite to show work.

Exhibition:
September 2 – October 8, 2016

Submission/drop off:
Now through Saturday, August 20, 5:00 pm
Monday–Saturday, noon–5 pm.

Opening reception:
Friday, September 2, 5:00–9:00 pm

Post-exhibit artwork pickup:
October 10–14, noon–5 pm.

Our annual Artist level membership costs only $35, which is cheaper than most art show/festival entry fees.

A wide variety of mediums accepted!

2D (painting, print, wall hung assemblage…)
Submit up to three (3) pieces total.
A diptych counts as two pieces. Triptych counts as three pieces.
Maximum width should not be more than 48″,including frame.

3D (sculpture, installation, ceramic…)
Submit up to two (2) pieces total.
Base: 24″ diameter maximum. Span: 48 inches max.
You may provide your own pedestal, as we have limited amount of them.

Ready to Hang/Install
All work must be complete and prepared for gallery viewing. 2D work should be framed (if applicable) and equipped with hanging wire of sufficient strength to safely support the work. If the work requires special installation, we require additional instructions from the artist and encourage the artist to be present during installation. If the work is excessively large or heavy, the artist must install the work. Any incomplete entries (e.g. no hanging wire) or wet paintings will not be accepted.

  1. Fill out Entry and Consignment form. Print it or fill it out electronically. Click here to download the Form.
  2. Email form and images of artwork to howard@wpca-milwaukee.org.
  3. Images (file names) must be numbered 1, 2, 3 and match the order in which they are listed in the Form.

After Submission/Drop off

Artwork can be dropped off at the gallery after submission is confirmed. Drop off can be made Tuesday-Saturday, noon-5 pm. All artwork must be received by 5:00 pm on August 20.

Sales/Pricing Work

WPCA retains a 20% commission on all sales of artwork. Please price your work accordingly. If your work is not for sale, please write “NFS” (not for sale) in the “Value/Price” section of the entry form and list the value of the work. The value must be provided for insurance purposes.

Pickup Work Post-Exhibition
Pickup can be made starting on Monday, October 10, Monday–Friday, noon – 5 pm. Please notify us if those hours don’t work for you and would like to arrange alternative time to pick up your work. Work not picked up within 30 days after exhibition close will become the sole property of WPCA.
