Activism: This module is to focus on the different ways in which activism has caused change within our society. It is important to present youth the ample amount of love and support that different communities are giving or receiving- this gives everyone a glimpse of hope. This module centers hope, solidarity and freedom.
Found Object/Communal Practices: Create new, unforeseen, landscapes, figures, shapes, architecture out of objects that already have a meaning of their own. Along with this, students will be exploring several cultural practices that unite community and redefine the concept of family, such as the Dia de los Muertos celebration.
Guest Artists: The purpose of this module is to connect our students to the various local and international artists that bring to life the WPCA community. We value the work and the various techniques that all of the artists that come in through our doors bring and that have been part of our exhibitions–how cool will it be to connect with other artist!
