Opening Reception: Fall Gallery Night, Friday, October 16, 5–9 pm.
Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a celebration honoring loved ones who have passed and a time to reflect on those who are still with us. Colorful ofrendas (offerings/altars) commemorate the dead and welcome their returning souls during the holiday. The exhibition not only presents a cultural and art experience, but also offers stories of those who, even in their absence, prove to be impactful and continue to inspire.
2015–2016 Featured Member Exhibition Series Artist Announcement
Each year, a juror selects four outstanding artists from the Annual Members Show to exhibit individually in their own Featured Member Exhibition. Each exhibition opens on Gallery Night and runs for about 10 weeks.

Walker’s Point Center for the Arts is proud to introduce our new Executive Director Ana Melo, who started on August 10. Ana grew up in the Walker’s Point neighborhood and has strong ties to the community. She is a bilingual community leader passionate about the arts, youth engagement and nonprofit sustainability.
Ana received a Master’s of Education in Teaching, Learning and Leadership
WPCA is seeking an Arts Education Coordinator to teach our on-site art programs, coordinate off-site residencies at schools and with community partners. The ideal candidate will have experience in art education, an understanding of the non-profit sector and excellent organization and administration skills.
