January 16 – April 4, 2015
Opening Reception: Winter Gallery Night, Friday, January 16, 5–9pm.
We proudly continue our 2014–2015 Featured Member Exhibition installment with artist Kevin Giese‘s “Glass House” and “My Buddhist Cave” series. The series presents the overlapping and divide of the inner self and the outer world through ambiguous boundaries created of sharp incised lines and ghostly shadows in black and white landscapes. Kevin was one of three artists in the 2011 WPCA exhibition “Quiet.”
Join us for the opening reception on Winter Gallery Night.

Our annual members show opens on September 5. We are officially launching art submission NOW. Please go to our Annual Members Show page and find the guideline and directions on submitting your work for the show.
With great gratification and bitter-sweet emotions, we cheer for Gary as he continues onto the next chapter of his life. Gary has been with Walker’s Point Center for the Arts for nine years and brought tremendous stability and progress to the organization. We will miss him dearly and look forward to stories from his adventures. ~Kate
Below is a statement from Gary:
With great appreciation and anticipation, I am retiring on August 15, 2014 from 50 years of work life. Yes, I know at 62 years of age it’s hard to believe a person can have worked 50 years. Maybe a bit of history will help.
You see, I grew up in family farm country where hard work was a given from the earliest of age.
Today we announce that we have appointed Kate Bradley as Executive Director of the Walker’s Point Center for the Arts effective January 1, 2014. Ms. Bradley will succeed Gary Tuma, who has stepped down as of December 31, 2013 after leading the Center for the last 8 years. Gary will continue his relationship with the Center, spending the next few years in part-time service as the WPCA’s first Growth and Development Officer.
