Our Hands-On after school art classes run during the semester For kids ages 6 – 12.
Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 3-5 pm.
Each day students hand craft a different “make and take” project, led by WPCA Lead Educator Mary Sugiyama and other licensed art educator. Students will explore a variety of mediums like painting, drawing, pottery, printmaking, fabric, dance and more. All levels are welcome.

This year, check out our upcoming lessons featuring the cultural holiday of Dia de Los Muertos as well as our themed months such as “Jump into Arts January,” featuring art elements, principals, and basic terms; “Fabulous Females February,” featuring important and famous females of the art world; “Master Artists March,” “Arts around the world April,” and “Multi-Media May.”
Follow Along Friday, or (FAF), will feature step-by-step, follow along drawings of animals, landscapes, portraits, fantasy creatures and more! Students will learn to draw more realistically by breaking down subjects into basic lines and shapes.
Regular Classroom Schedule:
3-3:15 Sign-in, snack, free draw, homework help
3:15-3:30 Clean up snack, free draw, help prepare classroom for lesson
3:30-3:45 Lesson for the day and demonstration
3:45-4:45 Create artwork!
4:45-5:00 Clean-up and Sign-out
