Youth Empowerment Week

WPCA presents Youth Empowerment Week. A week-long workshop where youth will explore identity, community, and self-advocacy through creative expression.

April 15 – 19, 2019

1:00PM – 5:00PM

Ages: 6 – 12

This year’s Youth Empowerment Week, Power of Language, aims to engage youth with elements of language use. Language is a way of communicating messages. Youth will come to discover the numerous ways of expressing thoughts through multiple ways. We will be working with artists of various disciplines to focus on this theme. Youth will come to realize how important it is to be fully aware of what they speak, after knowing its true effects on communities. This week we will be demonstrating various ways of using language through different art-making practices.  Such as beading, dancing, activist artmaking, & more! Make sure to register your children!
