Each year, our arts educators lead students in creating an ofrenda to honor someone who has had an impact in the arts and art education. This year, Arts Education Coordinator MaiKue Vang and the students are honoring Milwaukee artist and philanthropist Mary Nohl.
WPCA’s arts education programming directly benefits from Mary’s legacy and would not exist without the funding from Greater Milwaukee Foundation Mary L. Nohl Fund. The funding helps us provide after school art classes

We are honored to present our last (most certainly not least) 2014–2015 Featured Member Exhibition featuring artist Kevin Wrencher. Join us for the unveiling of his new work from “A Story of A Shadow Boy” series, which explores self-identity and self-realization using mixed media of intaglio, fabric, paint and scratching.

Walker’s Point Center for the Arts is honored to present the photographic work of writer and photographer Eddee Daniel. The exhibition will feature photography and stories collected during his 2014 tenure as the Menomonee Valley Partners Artist in Residence.
Daniel is celebrated for his ability to capture images depicting harmony between the built infrastructure and natural ecology.

We are proud to announce our third Featured Member Exhibition series of 2014-2015 with celebrated Wisconsin artist, assemblager, writer and art champion Gary John Gresl.
Gary would tell you himself that he likes working in large, space or site specific installations. With that said, he has graciously accepted the chance to create smaller assemblages specific to our Featured Member Exhibition space. Old stories live on through the retelling in each generation and are given new life from reinterpretation. We often learn about our own virtues through characters portrayed in folklore and fairy tales. In our exhibition In the Realm of Innocents we present six artists and their artwork that takes on classic iconography. The visual narrative can be seen as introspective of the artists, just as we often see ourselves in stories in which we are most drawn to.
The exhibition is curated by Michael Flanagan and Kimberly Storage.

Join us for this annual celebration of the region’s finest photographic artwork. Coalition of Photographic Arts‘s (CoPA) 8th Annual Juried Photo Exhibition will feature 43 pieces of work from 26 esteemed and emerging artists from the Southeast Wisconsin region. This highly competitive exhibition was juried by Graeme Reid, Director of Collections and Exhibitions at the Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA), and Gary Tuma, former Executive Director of WPCA.
