Art Educator
Oscar Quinto-Zamudio Jr. is an art educator, photographer, videographer, painter, etc. who attended UW-Milwaukee for his BFA in studio arts. Oscar had the experience of working alongside ArtsECO and participated in social justice training sessions. Through the ArtsECO program, Oscar was introduced to Walker’s Point Center for the Art in the Summer of 2017. Through the remainder of the year, Oscar interned there and learned more about WPCA’s mission and its commitment to the community. In early 2018, Oscar took the position of art educator and began developing lessons to empower BIPOC youth and help them understand the underlying issues that go around the city, nationally, and internationally. Via the arts education program, he aims to help youth use art as a way to commentate on internal and external ways of thinking. He constantly aims to create new opportunities for the youth, educate himself to not lose focus on what is important, and embrace every single day with the WPCA community.
