The 2026 program features two cornerstone events designed to uplift community voices and highlight the rich cultural traditions of Africa and its diaspora. The season opens with the Bridge the Gap Communal Meal: Stories of Empowerment on January 18, 2026, followed by the Gala + Chef Showcase on February 22, 2026.
Proceeds from both events will directly support WPCA and fellow community partners, strengthening arts programming, expanding access to creative opportunities, and amplifying the diverse stories that shape Milwaukee’s cultural landscape.
“WPCA is proud to stand alongside Ubuntu MKE and other partners in celebrating the power of culture, cuisine, and community,” said Executive Director Xela Garcia. “This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to fostering connection and creating meaningful impact across our city.”
Community members are invited to participate in these vibrant events and support local organizations making a difference. Tickets and event details are available
