Opening October 21, 6pm-8pm
Walker’s Point Center for the Arts has the longest standing tradition of celebrating this cultural practice in Milwaukee. This is a year of “Celebración/Celebration” as we commemorate 30 years of centering and uplifting this tradition in our neighborhood and beyond. We celebrate the lives of the dearly departed, their impact and memories through contemporary expressions from artists, and altares from community partners/members.

Taller de papel-mache con Ceci Tejeda | paper-mache workshop w/ Ceci Tejeda
• Crearemos un ambiente mágico lleno de color y personajes mágicos mientras celebramos del Dia de Muertos y aprendemos tecnicas de cartoneria y papel-mache.
• We will create a magical environment full of color and magical characters while we celebrate the Day of the Dead and learn cardboard and papier-mâché techniques.
• $30-$50 sliding scale
El taller incluye 3 sesiones de 2pm-4pm los días 15, 22 de octubre y 5 de noviembre
El costo cubre suministros y refrigerios para la serie.
Workshop includes 3 sessions from 2pm-4pm on Oct. 15th, 22nd, and Nov. 5th.
Cost covers supplies and refreshments for the series.

This year we welcome Mer-Calacas, a BIPOC vendors market organized by Raices Revolucionarias, which will take place October 29th 1pm-5pm.

FIELD-TRIP
We welcome school groups, college/university classes and organization to our space for activities that can be tailored to your group size, time frame, and desired experience.
Request for experiences will close Nov. 1st.
