Announcement of selected WPCA 2027 Featured Members

Milwaukee, WI — Walker’s Point Center for the Arts Announces 2026 Featured Members Cohort.
Walker’s Point Center for the Arts (WPCA) is proud to announce the next Featured Members cohort, selected by this year’s juror, Kevin Miyazaki. The four artists selected for the 2027 Featured Member Exhibition series are Ellie Garry, Michael Flanagan, Sayvion Shakes (RATH), and Quanyi Zhao.
Each year during WPCA’s Annual Member Show, a juror selects four exhibiting artists whose work demonstrates exceptional vision and creativity. Each selected artist is awarded a solo exhibition in WPCA’s Featured Member Exhibition Gallery. These exhibitions open on Gallery Night and run for approximately 10 weeks, offering local artists a dedicated platform to share their work with broader audiences.
The 2026 Annual Members Show featured 84 works submitted by 35 artists, from which juror Kevin Miyazaki selected this year’s Featured Members. WPCA is excited to collaborate with these artists to share their work and support their artistic practices within the Milwaukee community. This series continues WPCA’s commitment to serving as a resource for artists and a convener of community through the arts.
Established in 2012, the Featured Member Exhibition (FME) series has been enthusiastically received by audiences and artists alike. Jurors are given full autonomy to determine their own criteria and selection process, resulting in a dynamic and diverse range of artists over the years. FME alumni represent a wide spectrum of styles, mediums, and career stages—from emerging voices to established practitioners.
This artist cohort series will begin in January 2027.

Walker’s Point Center for the Arts is a nonprofit organization in support of visual and performing arts and youth arts education. WPCA seeks to enhance the fellowship and vibrancy of Walker’s Point. We provide a welcoming, safe and diverse cultural environment for children, artists and the public in order to maintain an active community.
