Announcement of selected WPCA 2026 Featured Members
Annual Members Show
On view through May 23rd, 2025

Milwaukee, WI — Walker’s Point Center for the Arts Announces 2026 Featured Members Cohort.
The Walker’s Point Center for the Arts (WPCA) is thrilled to unveil the 2026 Featured Members cohort, selected by esteemed juror Amal Azzam. This year’s distinguished artists include Kristine Hinrichs, Geornica Daniels, Cynthia Hayes, and Susan Simensky Bietila.

Each year, during WPCA’s Annual Members Show, a juror selects four exhibiting artists with outstanding work. These artists are then awarded a solo exhibition in our Featured Member Exhibition Gallery. Their exceptional works are showcased alongside 34 other talented member artists in the highly anticipated 2025 Annual Members Show. The selection process was conducted blindly—the selection juror determined their own criteria for selection and shared the following about each artist’s work:

  • Kristine Hinrichs: “Essential Invisible II” poignantly shines a spotlight on essential workers and the middle class, evoking emotion, nostalgia, and reality through its remarkable technique and skill.
  • Geornica Daniels: “Feelers” displays extraordinary experimentation and creativity. Its raw, subtle emotions invite viewers to engage deeply with the piece, which explores femininity through its form, materials, and presentation.
  • Cynthia Hayes: “Old Beijing” vividly celebrates the community with vibrant colors and touches of abstraction, allowing viewers to appreciate its stunning visual beauty alongside its cultural significance.
  • Susan Simensky Bietila: “Big Sister is Watching” courageously critiques societal dynamics, offering a powerful narrative deeply relevant to Milwaukee and beyond.

The Featured Member series will kick off in January 2026.
