Artist-in-Residence Program

In-School Artist-in-Residence is part of WPCA’s education program developed to provide art education and cultural enrichment beyond our walls, serving students at local schools and other youth agencies. The program connects artists with schools, collaborating and working alongside teachers. Projects typically run between 4-8 weeks, created and facilitated by the artists.

These residencies address the increasing demand for arts education in Milwaukee area schools. Projects occur during instruction or after school hours. Quality arts programs that have been offered have included: Afro-Caribbean dance, percussion, puppet making, videography, bookmaking, storytelling & spoken words, painting, drawing, printmaking, mural painting, and more!
