I am a retired physician now exploring my other passion – the arts – after practicing Family Medicine for most of my adult life. As a physician (and a wife and mother), I had little time to spend in other activities. Once I retired from medicine, I have been spending considerable time painting and doing photography. I often use my photographs and turn them into paintings. I prefer oil painting but do dabble with watercolors also.
I have always been an artist at heart. While studying Medicine, I simultaneously pursued a doctorate equivalent in Indian Classical Dancing. I have choreographed musicals and dramas. I have now turned to painting. I enjoy doing landscapes, still life and portraits. While many of my pieces have been sold at various sites, some have been donated and sold at area charities.
Below is a listing of venues where I have exhibited. Most of these exhibitions have been juried events. I do art projects by commission, especially people and pet portraits.
