14th Annual Youth Art Show
July 24 – August 14, 2026
Opening Reception: July 24, 4–6 PM
Sidewalk activation projects + community partners

This living, evolving exhibition grows each week throughout the summer, featuring new works in painting, poetry, dance, fabric, ceramics, stop‑motion, soft sculpture, and community‑driven neighborhood beautification projects.

Students collaborated with guest artists Oscar Quinto Zamudio, Kavon Cortez Jones, Reggie Wilson, Arianne King‑Comer, Christina Lopez‑Prado, Isaac Levin, Cole Kirkendall, Amanda Luciano, and Calea Sowell to bring the exhibition to life.

The showcase includes student work from Summer Art Camps, Youth Empowerment Week, Afterschool Art Classes, Roots Art Residents, and the Creative Multimedia Apprenticeship program, along with WIABE Art & Writing Contest winners.

A citywide call for art also invited students from across Milwaukee, creating a vibrant, community‑wide celebration of youth creativity.

____________

Milwaukee’s young artists take center stage in WPCA’s 14th Annual Youth Art Show, showcasing powerful stories, bold perspectives, and the creativity shaping our city’s future. This year’s exhibition highlights neighborhood connections, family histories, and the joy of seeing the world through the eyes of our youth.

Artists also have the chance to be considered for YardWorks, WPCA’s public art project that brings youth‑made artwork into the heart of our neighborhoods. Selected pieces earn a $50 stipend and shine a spotlight on what makes Milwaukee feel like home.
